Ubi has prospered along with most others in an industry that now rivals the movie industry. However, I'm also not so spineless as to just 'take one for the team'. I've been a loyal Ubisoft customer for MANY years. I was encouraged by their use of Steam for a distribution channel, but this latest is a complete slap in the face. the whole Starforce problem was bad enough and I really thought Ubi would have 'gotten' it. No titles from this publisher EVER again. Just read it well Bye bye UBI it was fun.īut not gonna buy any product, with this kind of DRM So i think if AC2 has this DRM, i'll cancel my order, and Anno 1404 is the las t game i bought. But what we are getting now isn't the answer. And no sadly i have no answer on how to stop piracy of games. And no i'm not advocating we should, only stating the fact that this will happen. I'm left with a useless product.Īll I know is while this has been though up by some idiot, who's certainly did not look what happend to the drm EA had thought up, it will spur piracy. Still what if i have laptop and there is no internet around, like on buisinees trip or vacations. Look i applaud the fact that you try to make it better for the gamer. with the only downside not beeing able to get the annoying achievements. Main rule is that i cannot decline it, why not the option like steam has, or even frikking live van mickeysoft a offline option. ![]() To me this does not sound like a service at all. No cd/dvd required, but a permanent Inet connection ? how long do you think a crack will be released making your self acclaimed top 'service' absoleet? You should think that by now these tricks will not work.
